Your Role as Data and ICT Manager

In this role, you'll be instrumental in implementing the Grant Cycle 7 under GCNH, contingent on the award of the Global Fund GC7 grant to GCNH as a Sub-recipient. Here’s what you need to know:

Position Overview

  • Title: Data and ICT Manager
  • Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH
  • Location: Remote (with occasional travel to project sites)
  • Work Schedule: Part-time
  • Duration: Initially 12 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.
  • Supervisor: Senior Technical Advisor
  • Reports To: Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitoring Data Quality: Develop guidance and tools to monitor the availability and quality of programmatic data.
  2. Data Management System: Create and deploy an efficient data management system for GCNH projects.
  3. ICT Infrastructure: Develop a resilient and interoperable ICT infrastructure for GCNH.
  4. Training: Lead training sessions for cadres, project officers, and other SR staff on data management.
  5. Data Optimization: Optimize data storage and retrieval systems for quick access to relevant data for analysis and decision-making.
  6. Report Analysis and Submission: Analyze data and ensure timely submission of reports to sponsors and principal recipients for all GCNH projects.
  7. Data Integrity: Conduct data cleaning, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the integrity of the project database.
  8. Support Data Compilation: Actively support the compilation and analysis of data for project deliverables, including quarterly and annual reports.
  9. Data Security: Establish a framework to identify, assess, and mitigate data security risks. Deploy advanced security protocols and encryption methods to protect sensitive data from cyber threats.
  10. Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Technical Advisor or Team Lead.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Educational Background: A strong foundation in IT, data management, or related fields.
  • Professional Experience: Significant experience in data systems development and management.
  • Skills:
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen to and incorporate stakeholder views and tailor communication to different audiences.
    • Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and maintain effective relationships in a diverse environment.
    • Client Orientation: Capacity to identify client needs and offer appropriate solutions.
    • Planning and Organizing: Skills in setting clear goals, anticipating risks, and adjusting priorities as necessary.
