Your Mission as a Monitoring and Evaluations Officer

As the Monitoring and Evaluations Officer, you'll be at the heart of implementing the Grant Cycle 7 under GCNH. This role is pivotal and contingent upon the award of the Global Fund GC7 grant to GCNH as a Sub-recipient. Here’s what you need to know:

Position Overview

  • Title: Monitoring and Evaluations Officer
  • Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH
  • Location: Accra
  • Duration: Initially 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
  • Supervisor: Senior Technical Advisor/Project Coordinator
  • Reports To: Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Management System Development: Craft and manage a robust data management system utilizing platforms like the District Health Information Systems (e-tracker) and Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap).
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation Planning: Formulate a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation plan to steer project implementation.
  3. Data Controls and Uniformity: Establish controls to ensure consistent information across all project sites.
  4. Timely Data Collection and Reporting: Ensure that data is collected, reported, and used efficiently at both regional and national levels.
  5. Collaboration for Evidence-Based Payment: Work with project officers to ensure cadre payment recommendations are evidence-based.
  6. Compliance and Best Practices: Maintain adherence to M&E frameworks and uphold best practices in data management.
  7. Data Quality Audits: Conduct audits and submit timely performance updates to the Principal Recipient and sponsors.
  8. Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as needed.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluations, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Experience: At least three years of relevant work experience. Experience in developing data systems and working with the Ghana Health sector and other health-related NGOs is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • HIV and Gender-Based Violence Knowledge: Understanding these issues is crucial.
    • Writing and Analytical Skills: Ability to articulate findings clearly and analyze data effectively.
    • Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt language and style to different audiences.
    • Teamwork: Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and maintain effective relationships in a diverse environment.
    • Client Orientation: Capacity to understand client needs and offer appropriate solutions.
    • Planning and Organizing: Skills in setting clear goals, anticipating risks, and adjusting priorities as necessary.
